Azo Equipment Ltd started as an idea for better carrying equipment in 2005. The inspiration for the company came during an expedition to Ethiopia, ‘Azo’ is the Ethiopian word for crocodile.
Finding its feet among London’s creative communities from 2010 onwards the evolution of design and now manufacture of backpacks and other products has been a labour of love of a small team of passionate people. We aim to bring to the world bags and other travel related products that are of the highest quality, which offer a new style in carry and are long lasting.
We work hard to get our products right and we welcome feedback for future development. It is also important to us to produce bags locally and make as much effort as we can to consider our impact on the environment. Examples of how we do this include sourcing locally and manufacturing everything in the UK, at greater cost but with less impact on the environment.
